    Summary

    Supports the Materials Supervisor with coordinating activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment.

    Essential duties and responsibilities

    -Interfaces daily with Customer Service and Shipping department to ensure deadlines are met.
    -Selects and prints current EPNs daily usage using specific Crystal Reports,
    -Reviews and corrects past due EPNs.
    -Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas and arranges conference calls.
    -Edits and reprocesses Quick Ship exceptions for invoices purposed daily.
    -Files correspondence and legal documents in office filing systems. Ensures proper indexing
    and filing of all documents.
    -Organizes and maintains the filing system of departmental required documents.
    -Provides manual inventory adjustments as required.
    -Prepares Print Shop packets for Cylinder Kit Program.
    -Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials.
    -Ensures visitors have proper clearance approvals to enter the facilities.
    -Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes.
    -Manages and maintains various reporting tools and systems that support the Materials Management team.
    -Tracks total item quantity and order value daily for Aftermarket report.
    -Drives continuous improvement activities that support Continental Motors Operating System.
    -Keeps track of all employees pull and pack totals daily for Aftermarket report.
    Researches EPNs and sales order as required.
    -Other duties as required.

    Education

    Associate degree -A.A. or equivalent from a two year college or technical school; or six months
    to one year related experience and-or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Experience required

    -Knowledge of lean manufacturing methods and systems.
    -Demonstrated ability to perform high level administrative functions.
    -Experience working in a fast paced environment and supporting multiple departments.

    Mathematical skills

    Ability to calculate figures, amounts such as discounts, interests, commissions, proportions,
    percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Computer

    Windows 95, 98 or XP, MACOLA, Ultipro, Microsoft Advanced Excel, Word, Power Point and computer-based planning applications such as ES-MRP, SAP.

    Physical requirements

    -Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
    -Ability to work and climb on overhead areas.
    -Ability to stoop, bend forward, bend at waist or by bending legs and spine.
    -Ability to work in an environment with intermittent high levels of noise.
    -Successful completion of forklift-wave certification.
